I grew up in the countryside just outside of Missoula, Montana. It was here, nestled in the Rocky Mountains next to the Bitterroot River, where I discovered a deep and ever-growing appreciation for this place, our natural world, and a profound love for music.
Fifteen years ago, my grandmother Mary- a life-long musician, harpist, and collector of instruments suggested that I try learning to play one of her folk harps. After a couple of years of establishing my new roots as a folk harpist, my curiosity and love for exploring the vast ethereal musical possibilities with the harp were growing. Following our next family visit to see my grandma in Escondido, California, she sent us back home to Montana with a massive grand concert pedal harp in the back of my dadβs old truck.
Grandma Mary appreciated the different, fun, unique, and βneatβ things in life. I enjoy taking an untraditional and alternative approach to the harp, using sound effects and improvisation frequently for my gigs. Since her passing in 2022, I have been playing four of Maryβs beloved harps.
I work closely with my diverse set of clients to ensure that the music and sounds I bring create a perfect ambiance that resonates with their vision and the atmosphere. If you are looking to add a touch of elegance, enchantment, and personalized artistry to your next event, Iβd love to work with you.
